hang out

は「（外で）遊ぶ」「（外出して）長時間ぶらぶらと時間を過ごす」

という意味です。具体的な目的なしに外出する、というニュアンスがあります。

例えば、「ねえ今夜遊ぼうよ！」「今夜パーっとやろうよ！」と日本語でもよく言いますが、

line（ライン）は英語で使う場合は大きくわけると「列（れつ）」

アメリカ人が映画や劇場のことでlineを言うとき、

１つの文章やパラグラフを指し、台本で使われる言葉、
