ネイティブのリアル英語 jet lag 時差ぼけ
アメリカやヨーロッパから帰国するとしばらく「時差ぼけ」で昼間ぼーっとしたり、
夜眠れなくなることがありますよね。
英語で「時差ぼけ」のことをjet lagと言います。
「ジェット機」を意味する jet と、「ずれ」を意味する lag から出来た言葉です。
ジェット機に数時間乗ってどこかへ行くと、体内時計と現地時間のずれが生じる
ことから jet lag と呼ばれるようになりました。
