◆ 今回のイディオム　

“play it by ear”

“play it by ear” は「その場の状況に合わせて臨機応変に行動する」「計画を立てずに様子を見ながら進める」という意味です。日本語の「行き当たりばったりにやる」「臨機応変に対応する」に近い表現です。
